In 2010, we did an experiment to see if we could make a Maasai music video, and how it would communicate in Maasailand, and around the world. We partnered with Tom Khazoyan and Matt Castagna of 10X Productions in producing the video, and the resulting music video for the song Bwana Mungu was incredible. Since its’ release, it has been shown around the world, to audiences of all kinds, including at the Lausanne meeting in South Africa, the Visual Story Network meeting in Edinburgh, in churches across Canada and the United States, as well as in the heart of Tanzania. Every time it’s shown, the feedback we keep hearing is that it’s absolutely incredible to see the beauty of the Maasai and the power of their message presented so clearly. That’s the goal of Pamoja Ministries: discipling cultures through media. And that’s the goal of MAPED: communicating truth to the Maasai. It’s our hope that you’ll enjoy watching the video too!
