IMA Pastor’s Conference, Evansville
The En-kata Choir, on their Faces of Change Tour 2009, had the privilege of attending two evening services at the IMA Pastor’s Conference in Evansville, Indiana.
We were blessed by the fantastic choir, and the inspirational musicians and singers, as well as two excellent sermons.
And we were given the opportunity to sing and share our testimonies as well.
Penny and Ron’s singing, with Bryan’s piano skills, and Tiffany’s dancing brought us to tears.
Tiffany and Sifa
As we were driving away from Evansville Sifa said to me, “I’ve never cried like that in church before.”
and Mathayo said “I didn’t know so many people could have demons.”
When my head stopped spinning from that last statement, I realized that Mathayo hadn’t ever seen people fall over in the presence of God before. It was good to be able to have a conversation about how people can carry the glory of God with them, how the Holy Spirit can move people to tears, and it was beautiful to see them understand why so many people cry when they, the Maasai (Masai) sing.
A big thank you to everyone at the IMA conference who gave us the opportunity to see God in this new light.
