Pint-sized Performance
Since we arrived in Victoria, we have been staying at North Douglas Church. This has been a wonderful opportunity and allowed us to rehearse, get things organized, and relax before we head into our first and quite possibly busiest weekend of the tour.
The church also has a preschool during the weekdays. Yesterday, the Maasai greeted the children as they arrived for school, inviting them and their parents to our performances. The small children gave different reactions to the Maasai, many hiding behind their parents, but a few were curious and even gave high-fives.
As class started, the teachers came out and invited the Maasai to sing a song for the class, which we were more than happy to do. In a way, this small audience became our first unofficial performance of the tour.
