Bridal Falls
On our way to Merritt, we took our time and got to do a little roadside sightseeing. One stop that we had to make was at Bridal Falls. It was raining just a little bit, so we grabbed every coat and touque (winter hats for all our non-Canadians) that we had in the vehicles, bundled everyone up and away we hiked.
It was just a short 15 minute hike to the falls. And there at the top clearing we could see the falls. Petro just stood in jaw-dropping amazement.
Eva: When does it stop?!
Jeremy: Never.
Eva: Never?! I want to dig a ditch from right here to my home!
Because 4 of the 6 have been in the States and have seen a few things, we sometimes we forget just how different the landscapes and cultures are until we see Petro & Eva’s reactions. It’s like seeing the world through fresh eyes that make us marvel at God’s creations.
At another roadside stop, we took in the sights of Canada’s mountains and forests. Maliaki was in wonder at the amount of forest that Canada has managed to preserved. That the forests are not “man-planted” but still “God-created,” to use his words.
After this photo, Maliaki had to see it immediately to make sure that I had gotten the mountain in the photo. Pretty had to miss a sight like that.
