In Meridian, Mississippi, Pastor Lane Busbee and Christ Community Church truly welcomed us as family in the body of Christ. Although a small congregation, their hospitality and generosity was off the charts.

On Wednesday morning, Pastor Lane managed to wrangle us a guest appearance on the morning news show on local TV. After an introduction and song from the Maasai, we were informed that the other guests for the morning had failed to show up for their spot, so we were invited to stay on and perform again, and ended up closing the show for them.

During the day a number of people around town recognized us from the TV spot and told us they would be coming to the church that evening.

During the evening service the congregation was very moved by the choir’s stories and songs, and gave a strong blessing back, giving generously toward the building of the school in Maasailand and the the work of the choir.
