The Freitas family with the En-kata Choir

The Freitas family welcomed us in California, and took us to a bunch of different churches, including Hillside, where Tony worshiped for many years!

"Naidine! There's a fire on the stage! Put that out before we all burn!"

Among other things a point of interest was the fake fire on the stage. When the Maasai walked in and sat down, immediately Maliaki told me to go put the fire out before we had a big problem! 🙂

It was fun watching them examine the fire and discover lights and wind!

Mathayo gave his testimony

Friends from Germany, Canada, America and many other countries were united at this Hillside event and we had a great time talking with so many who have traveled and served abroad.

Nemburis gave her testimony and Sifa and I translated from Maa, to Swahili, to English.

It was especially refreshing to hear Swahili from the mouth of a Tanzanian at Hillside! Simba and his family welcomed us into their house after the evening service for some real home-made chai and mandazi.
