Ross’ House in Texas!
On Monday morning, we woke up in our wonderful Hotel rooms, and packed up our things. We spent the morning hanging out, and I made an important discovery.
Yona is ticklish. VERY ticklish.
So we tickled him. A LOT.
Then we went to the Ross’ house for the afternoon and night. And we made a bunch of other important discoveries.
1. The Lion King.
- Christa introduced us to The Lion King!
This is why Americans know how to say “Lion” in Swahili!
Mufasa’s death brought Martha to tears.
We LOVED the Lion King. We watched it another two times in a row the next day.

Naitapoaki loving on the kiddies.
It never takes Naitapoaki long to get a child on her lap.
Jonathan didn’t seem to mind at all.

Mathayo and Sifa experienced a new addition to the Trampoline experience: sprinkler!
Discovery #2:
Sprinklers and Trampolines are a GREAT mix!

I also feel as though I should note that Naitapoaki is becoming quite an accomplished Photographer!
In the evening we sat in the livingroom.

Ellie adopted herself a new Maasai (Masai) Bibi

Karduni found herself a new Grandchild
…and Yona gave us the details of how a brave Maasai (Masai) warrior (himself) killed the most vicious of all animals – the Lion (Simba)!
Then Important Discovery #3 was made.
Jacob came into the room with a plastic snake and this is what happened.

The Fearless (yet ticklish) Warrior (Yona) RAN for the door.

And Jacob and Nate got out the real snakes.

Jacob thinks snakes are fun.

Nate thinks snakes are fun.

Christa and Ellie thought Yona was a fearless Maasai (Masai) Warrior!

Yona is terrified of snakes.
And these were important discoveries… discoveries which have filled our days off with fun.
