Harvest Time Christian Academy

Watching ourselves and drinking Chai
We woke up in the morning and did one of the things we like best to do! We watched ourselves on DVD! It’s exciting to see a choir of 9 Maasai (Masai) on TV! And it’s even more exciting since it’s ourselves!

Singing out in the playground
We went to Harvest Time Christian Academy and sang to the kids out on recess.
Mathayo was able to join a class of kids playing in gym class.

We sang about the tower of Babel in the dininghall.

And Demi enjoyed watching her friend Mathayo sing.
We were given a short tour of the grade 1 classroom, and we learned so VERY much. Maliaki has been to school. Isack went to school for a while, and Mathayo and Sifa are in school. But that’s not even half of the En-kata choir who’ve been to school at all. And none of them had ever imagined such order and such resources. The letters of the alphabet on the wall, the names on the desks, each child in his/her own desk, even the way that the kids read the letter sounds out to their teacher when she asked: everything was new.

Kim, Naitapoaki and Sifa
We had a great time at Harvest Time Christian Academy. Thank you everyone who made us feel so welcome!

There’s another proverb: “If a person hasn’t travelled, he/she thinks his/her mother is the only cook.”
